Meridene + Corcovado at ProLo 11.13.10

Last Saturday, November 13th, Urban Agrarian presented Meridene with Corcovado and Blessed Feathers at the Project Lodge. Blessed Feathers played first. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get to the show until Meridene’s set but I heard they played a great set as usual.

Amidst a crowd of mostly friends and family, Meridene from Eau Claire played second. They rocked out with their progressive power pop. The band is on tour now to support their album, Something Like Blood released earlier this year on Amble Down.

Corcovado headlined with their first live partially electric set.  Austin Hays began by playing a song acoustic and solo then the other members of Corcovado made it up to the stage a few at a time for the rest of his acoustic set.  Finally, the moment arose when all five members took the stage playing drums, two electric guitars, electric bass and keyboards.  It was a different experience hearing Corcovado so loud and with drums and I hope they do it again.  Though I think they boys sound good either way, they’ve perfected their acoustic set and I enjoyed hearing something a bit different.
