While I was too late getting into Chicago to catch Real Estate’s set at the Pitchfork music festival, I skipped out early on Sunday to have time to document their after-show with Zola Jesus at the Subterranean. The dudes all seemed to be basking in the after glow of an epic weekend, coming to the club straight from seeing Pavement. Their energy came through in their set and they had the whole place grooving along to the familiar jams from their self-titled LP and the Basement EP, but also threw in a couple new ones that sounded particularly awesome.
